In this tutorial we will focus on uploading your newly created website sidebar banner to your Sharefaith church website.

For websites running Sharefaith theme version 1.8.4 or higher:

  1. Log into your Church Website Control Panel.
  2. On the Left sidebar menu, hover over Appearance and then click Widgets.
  3. In the widgets menu, drag the Sharefaith Image Widget into the “SIDEBAR 1″ box at the far right of the screen.
  4. Now the widget will open and you will see a button that says “Choose Image”
  5. Click the “Choose Image” button and select the banner image from your computer, Media Library, Gallery, or even your on-site Image Editor.
  6. LINK URL box: If you want the image to link to a separate page or website, place the URL address of the page or website here.
  7. If you would like the link to open in a new window, check the box next to “Open Link In A New Window.”
  8. When done, click the blue SAVE button.

For websites with Sharefaith theme version 1.8.3 or lower:

  1. Log into your Church Website Control Panel.
  2. On the top of the left sidebar menu, click on MEDIA.
  3. A new window will open. Click on ADD NEW, next to Media Library
  4. A new window will open. Click on SELECT FILES under Upload New Media.
  5. Find your newly created banner, select it, and click OPEN.
  6. In the FILE URL box at the bottom, copy the entire URL (web address).
  7. Click on the Save All Changes button at the bottom.
  8. On the left sidebar menu links under APPEARANCE, click on WIDGETS.
  9. On the far right, located the box that is titled “SIDEBAR 1.”
  10. Click on the drop down arrow, next to SIMPLE IMAGE.
  11. A new section will open. In the IMAGE URL box, place the URL that you just copied.
  12. In the LINK URL box, place the URL link to where you would like the sidebar banner to link.
  13. If you would like the link to open in a new window, check the box next to “Open Link In A New Window.”
  14. When done, click the blue SAVE button.
  15. Repeat these steps, in the second SIMPLE IMAGE box to create a second banner.
