When you have all of the necessary information to run a background check, you will order one through the Background Check section. Clicking New Order will begin the process. Enter all of the information that you can here.
The more information that you are able to fill out, the more accurate the results will be. When you are finished, click Submit. From here, select a billion reference if you have created any.
Based off of the National Background Check Recommendations Map, select the package that you need. Please see below for explanations of what is included in each package. You can also select to send out child safety training.
After you are all done with your selections, click Next. Here you can search by state or county. If you are doing a county search and are unsure of the county but have the state and city or the zip code, you can click this link for an advanced search.
Click here to go back to the default search. Click the Use as State or County button. If you want to make your selection your default, click the Set as Default button.
Once the initial background check is added, you can delete it if you don't need it. Or, you can add additional states and counties by clicking the Add Another Search button. Please keep in mind that each state or county that is added above the one that is included in the PLUS package is an additional fee as well as any mandatory fees that the state or county may have.
When you have made your selections, click the Next button. Now you see a breakdown of each background check you are ordering and another explanation for the features of your package. Below this is a disclaimer from the FCRA for you to read and a checkbox for you to acknowledge.
Click the Submit Background Check button when you are all done. When you have done this and it is accepted, it will show here in Pending. When it is done, it will show here as Complete.
When it is time to re-screen a volunteer, it will show here. When they have been re-screened, it shows here. And any that have been archived will show here.

So, if you are doing a Background Check in Oregon, you will notice that it, as of this date (08/2018), is a yellow state on the National Background Check Recommendations map and requires the Plus Package ($21.95*). After checking the Mandatory State Fees document, you will find out that there is no mandatory fee for Oregon. So your total will be $21.95* because the plus package includes one county or state background check at no additional charge.
