The about page is made up of various sections that can be linked with the anchor elements within the page:
1. About Intro Section
2. Statement of Faith Section
3. Meet the Staff Section
About Intro Section
To edit the section template, navigate to Templates> Damascus | About Intro Section> click "Edit with Elementor".
Contents:
-
Image - with site logo or any style image you replace here.
-
Heading
Since white is the default of headings in this stylekit, no specific coloring is necessary - the chosen yellow outlines the light default heading.
Statement of Faith Section
To edit the section template, navigate to Templates> Damascus | About Intro Section> click "Edit with Elementor".
This row features a background scrolling behind the page (fixed) and a background image - with a color set as well in case the image does not load:
A background overlay is set as well so that the text is more readable in front of it.
Contents:
-
Menu anchor - as described in the parallax documentation, this makes #what-we-believe a scrollable anchor on the page.
-
Heading - specific color is set in the style tab to stand out against the background. Note that when the heading contains a long word that goes over, as this does, you can set a specific font size in the mobile view as shown:
-
Text areas - Documented here. Each text element can have a specific color as is used here to visibly separate sections.
Meet the Staff Section
To edit the section template, navigate to Templates> Damascus | About Intro Section> click "Edit with Elementor".
Contents:
-
Menu Anchor - as set up in parallax documentation.
-
Title (H1 header) - In Advanced, margin is added to space it from the below:
-
Inner sections: each having a column containing:
-
Image - a cropped .png file may have transparency as shown.
-
Heading - with some padding set in the advanced panel
-
Pastor name (H2, Heading widget)
-
Title - this is a text element like any other, with some specific styles set on it: The background is set in style tab, the padding makes the background show consistent around it:
and the position - width inline makes it not the full width of the area. -
Text Area - Replace lorum ipsum with your description.
-
Link (“contact”) - Also a Text Area with link. As is, linked to “#staff” which just scrolls to the menu-anchor added above. Change this link with the link tool:
-
Note that the spacing between each team member is accomplished with the column selector in its top left, then the “margin” in advanced tab:
An extra width in this whole section is set with the layout content width setting.
