Church Websites (Sidekick): Parallax Website Design: Collapsible Navigation Menus

One of the really great features of our Parallax Websites is our collapsible menus.

The following video explains what they are and the reason for them, as well as the steps to take to revert back to more of a traditional style, should you activate them unintentionally.

Please note that we do have a template that only has a Collapsible Menu. That one is our Esther template.

One of the really great features of our Parallax designs is the collapsible menu. This feature allows you to have as many top navigation pages as you like, and instead of wrapping around and creating a mess, it simply collapses your menu and places it over here on the right.

When you click it, it expands and you can see that all of your navigation links are listed in a side menu format. Any sub menus pull up when you hover over the particular navigation tab. If you want this feature and do not have enough navigation menus to make it default to the collapsed menu, do not worry.

The Esther theme comes with the collapsed menu as the only menu option. Now if you have a collapsed menu and you don't want it, it is because of one of two reasons. First, your navigation titles are too long, so get rid of the titles with multiple words or find a shorter word that has the same meaning.

Lastly, it could be that you have too many navigation links in your menu. To clear this up, simply place some in the sub menus. Now your menu is expanded and not collapsed.
