Church Websites (Sidekick): Page Editing: Toolbar Overview

Watch this brief video to get better acquainted with your main editing toolbar for your content sections.

*This video overview may include some out-of-date images. We appreciate your patience as we work to get these videos updated.

Let's go over the main editing toolbar from left to right. The styles dropdown lets you select between paragraph, heading 1, and heading 2. The font selector allows you to pick from any font that you have uploaded to your site. You can adjust the size with the font size dropdown.

When adjusting the font size, please remember that people who have vision problems usually have their browsers zoomed in, so there is really no need to over enlarge your font size. You can change the color of the text here. Choose whether you want the text to be bold or italicized, and change the content alignment here.

The media button allows you to insert media such as audio, images, and PDFs. The feature button will allow you to add various features such as a sermon playlist, a calendar, a map, contact forms, and more to your page. Click the link button to change any image into a link, and any text into a link or a button.

Undo will remove the last edit you have made. The paste as text button allows you to paste copied text without the background HTML being carried over. The clear formatting button allows you to clear any formatted text already entered.

Underline will allow you to underline text. The heading separator inserts a unique line underneath the heading. Strike through puts a line through your font.

Block quote indents your text in a block quote format. The background color allows you to change the color behind your text. The line height selector adjusts the spacing in between lines.

The padding adjusts the text spacing from the left and right sides of the section. The next few buttons allow you to add a bullet or a numbered list. You can choose a special character using this button.

Increase or decrease the indentation of your text. Forward allows you to undo your undo. The post details button allows you to specify an author, allow user comments, and in a parallax style template, add a separator page.

The SEO button allows you to use your Yoast SEO tool. Clicking the question mark will give you all of the relevant keyboard shortcuts. And lastly, the save button saves your work, and pressing the cancel button will cancel all of your changes.
