What does building your app and blogging have to do with each other? The answer is they both begin with creating a post. So let's create one.

Begin by clicking on the content button. Scroll down to blog posts. Click add new post.

Now let's title it. A post works a lot like a page so you can essentially edit it just like you would a page. If you are creating a post to show up on your app, do not add images to the body of the post as they will not show up correctly when viewing in the mobile app.

Now enter your content. Click the more button. Click the post details button.

Here you can choose the author, choose or add a category for the post to show up in. This comes in handy when you have multiple posts on a page and any new post will automatically show up on that page you have that category on. You can then choose a date you would like your post to show.

This is also where you can choose to have your post automatically show up on a future date. If you are wanting to only show the beginning of your post and have a read more button that readers can click on to view the rest of your blog post, click your cursor where you want your post to be cut off. Then click the insert read more tab button.

It will put a dotted line where your post will be cut off. If you want to add a featured image to your post, you can add one by clicking here then either uploading an image or choosing one from your media library. Once you have selected the one you want, click the set feature image button.

Now click on save and you are all done. If you're adding a post to a blog already on your website, creating a blog is now more simpler than ever. Just go to the page that your blog is on and click the plus button and you can add your content there including your featured image.
