How to Upload Your App Icon and Google Play Featured Graphic

Read the descriptions of what the App Icon and Google Play Featured Graphic are and the specifications for each one. Then Watch the short video tutorial to discover more about how to upload them.

App Icon - This is what your members will see most often. This should represent your ministry, so having this be your ministry logo is a great option.

Google Play Featured Graphic - This image functions like a banner and will display at the top of your app’s Google Play Store Page.

Both the app icon and Google Play featured image need to be in the PNG file format as well as 72 or 300 dpi.

  • The app icon size must be a minimum of 1024 x 1024 pixel
  • The Google Play featured graphic needs to be a minimum of 1024 x 500 pixels

Let's upload our App Icon and Google Play featured graphic. Make sure that you have read the information above on what each of these images are for and the format, DPI, and size specifications for each of them.

If your image does not meet each specification, it will not work for either section. These are not our rules, but Apple and Google's rules. Okay, now that we have our images correct, it's time to upload them.

In the App Studio, we see the icon section. Notice that there is an exclamation point on the right. This is here to let us know that we have not yet completed this section.

This will change into a check mark when it is completed. Underneath here, we see two upload buttons. I'm going to click on the one above App Icon.

Now we're going to select our image, then click open. Since our image size is correct, it shows up right here. Now I will click the upload button above the Google Play featured graphics.

Then select our image again and click open. And here they are. And our exclamation point turned into a check mark, indicating that this section is complete.

Now I will click the apply changes button, and we are all ready to move on to the next section.
