Here we are going to show you can add new users to your church website through the Advanced menu of your church website.

  1. Log into your church website

  2. Click on the Advanced icon in the Sidekick editor. This icon is a picture of a hammer and wrench.

  3. In the Advanced Section hover over Users in the Advanced Side Menu then click on Add New User.

  4. Now click on click on "Add New."

  5. The Add New User screen will allow you to create specific details for the new user. Here are the details that you will see:

  6. Please match the number on the image to the number of the description bellow.

    1. Username (required) - Enter the username of the new user here. This will also be used as the Login name of the new user.

    2. E-mail (required) - Enter a valid e-mail address of the new user here. The e-mail address must be unique for each user. If a published post or page is authored by this user, then when approved comments are made to that post or page, a notification e-mail is sent to this e-mail address.

    3. First Name - Enter the first name of the new user here. 

    4. Last Name - Enter the last name of the new user in this text box (the display name defaults to first and last name).

    5. Website -: You may enter the new user's website URL in this text box or you can leave this box blank.

    6. Password- A password will automatically be generated here. You can change that to whatever password you would like by deleting the prefilled password.

    7. Confirm Password- If you choose a "weak" Password you must check this box to confirm that you understand that it is weak.

    8. Send Password? - Check the box to Send this password to the new user by email.

    9. Role - Select the desired Role for this User from the drop-down box. Here are the user roles that are available:

a. Administrator – nothing is off limits

b. Editor – has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and links.

c. Author – can write, upload photos to, edit, and publish their own posts.

d. Contributor – has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published

e. Subscriber  – can read and comment on posts and pages
