These instructions cover setting up email on an iPad. Each iPad version is different and comes with different mail apps. The iPad version that is displayed here is IOS 10 and the app used is the default mail app for this device. Although versions may be different, the email settings will stay the same.   • The incoming server must be set to, mail.yourdomain (i.e. if your domain is sharefaith.com then your inbound server would be mail.sharefiaith.com)
  • The incoming port must be 143 unless you have an ssl (not typical) then it is 993.
  • The outgoing server must be set to, smtp.sharefaithwebsites.net.
  • The outgoing Port must be set to 587 unless you want to use ssl then it is 465.
  • If you have an IMAP Path Prefix, you must type the word "inbox" into that field.
  • Make sure that all of your usernames have your complete email address.
  • Make sure that none of your email addresses have a capital letter in them.

The screenshots include references to notrealemail@sftutorial.com. Do not use this email, it is only used as an example.

  1. Select your mail app icon.

  2. Select Other.

  3. In the Name field [1] enter your name.
    In the Email field [2] enter your Sharefaith Email In the Password field, [3] enter your Sharefaith email password. 
    Then select Next.

  4. In the Incoming mail server section:
    Make sure that your Name, [1]  Email, [2]  and Discription Fields [3] are correct.
    In the Host Name field, [4] Make sure that it has mail.(yourdomain). (i.e. if your domain is sharefaith.com then your inbound server would be mail.sharefiaith.com)
    In the User Name field [5] enter your Sharefaith Email.
    In the Password field, [6] enter your Sharefaith email password


  5. In the Incoming mail server section:
    In the Host Name field, [1] Make sure that it has  smtp.sharefaithwebsites.net 
    In the User Name field [2] Make sure that it has your Sharefaith Email.
    In the Password field, [3] Make sure that it has your Sharefaith email password


  6. This pop-up will appear. Select Details.


  7. Select Trust.


  8. Select Save.


  9. Select Settings.

  10. Select Mail.





  11. Select Accounts. 


  12. Select Your Mail Account. (in this example it shows Sftutorial, yours will be different.)

  13. Select Account.


  14. Select Advanced.


  15. Scroll Down


  16. Uncheck the Use SSL [1]  button in your incomming settings.  
    In your IMAP Path Prefix, [2]  type the word "inbox"  
    Finally Select Account. [3]

  17. You can now send and recieve emails through your mail App.
